AC Milan Won’t Play In Europe Next Season After Breaching UEFA’s Financial Fair Play Rules

AC Milan won’t be playing in Europe during the 2019-20 season. The Rossoneri side had previously clinched a spot in the UEFA Europa League group stage, but they will have to forfeit it due to financial problems. Due to this, AS Roma will enter the group stage and Torino will play in the tournament’s qualifying rounds.

The Rossoneri have been barred from taking part in the competition in 2019-20 by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), after breaching UEFA s Financial Fair Play rules. A CAS statement reads: “The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has issued a Consent Award embodying the agreement reached between AC Milan S.p.A and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) concerning breaches of the UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations by the Italian club.”…

Barcelona v River Plate: Mascherano ice-cold ahead of Club World Cup final

Javier Mascherano says facing former club River Plate in Sunday s Club World Cup final will not distract him from making history with Barcelona.

A Luis Suarez hat-trick saw the European champions past Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao to set up a meeting with River, who edged past Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the last four.

Mascherano began his career with the Copa Libertadores holders and the 31-year-old admitted before the tournament that he would rather not have to face his boyhood club.

But the Argentina international insists victory is all that is on his mind as he looks to claim the second global title of his career, following success at the 2011 tournament.

I m totally committed to Barca. I want to win. I have an historic chance to be Club World Cup champion …

Mbappe still undecided?

According to a recent report from Amazon Prime, Kylian Mbappe has insisted he is still yet to make a decision regarding his future.

Some reports have noted that he has already agreed to a huge move with Real Madrid, which may well see him break the world transfer record. Others have said he’d also be open to staying with Paris Saint-Germain if he was given the right kind of offer but given how long he’s wanted to move to the Spanish giants, that seems unlikely.

At the age of 23 he s already achieved so much in this game but something tells us he wants his legacy to be even greater than that. At the international level he s managed to reach the summit thanks to France winning the World Cup in 2018, but domestically and on the European front, he s desperate to make an…

Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 RB Leipzig: Neymar penalty seals fortunate win

Paris Saint-Germain leapfrogged RB Leipzig into second place in Champions League Group H after Neymar s first-half penalty secured a scarcely deserved 1-0 win over the Bundesliga side on Tuesday.

Thomas Tuchel s side suffered a 2-1 defeat in Germany three weeks ago but they got their campaign back on track at Parc des Princes despite an underwhelming display.

Neymar sealed all three points from the spot after 11 minutes, with the Ligue 1 champions then failing to have another shot on target until the closing stages of the match.

The result means the two sides are level on six points after four games, with PSG ahead courtesy of a better goal difference.

FULL-TIME: 1-0

A very important three points in the secured!
